Educators' Week 2024

Overview

Each year, Immerse Education brings together a select group of school leaders and educators from around the world for a week-long immersion into our programmes. In 2024, Educators’ Week was hosted at Magdalene College, Cambridge, welcoming over 20 teachers and advisors from 14 countries.

This invitation-only event is designed to recognise and thank school communities that champion the work of Immerse Education. At the same time, it equips participants with the insights and tools they need to more confidently promote our programmes to students and families.

Programme Experience

Throughout the week, participants experienced first hand what makes an Immerse Education programme distinctive, while engaging in a professional development agenda designed exclusively for educators.

Each day combined live classroom observations with tailored CPD sessions delivered by experts in education and youth development. These explored topics such as academic enrichment strategies, global scholarship competitions, and ways to embed immersive experiences into existing school pathways. Educators took part in roundtable discussions with peers from across the world, offering a collaborative forum to share challenges, successes and new ideas.

Alongside this, participants were immersed in the wider student journey. They attended college formal dinners, enjoyed punting on the River Cam, joined guided tours of historic university campuses, and experienced the atmosphere of our summer programmes in action. They observed students from over 40 countries engaging with academic content and extracurricular activities.

The week concluded with one to one consultations with Immerse’s partnerships team, equipping each attendee with actionable ideas and bespoke recommendations for how to bring world class enrichment experiences to their students.

Impact

Feedback from 2024 attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with 100% rating the experience as excellent and 96% saying they left very confident in recommending Immerse Education.

“The ability of Immerse Education to effectively build a community with a diverse group of educators with global perspectives, creating a safe space to collaborate and learn, was priceless.”
Theresa St. Laurent, Director of School Counselling, Notre Dame Preparatory School
“For an educator to spend a week in Cambridge living the college life is already an invaluable experience per se. But to build a community with colleagues from different parts of the world and share similar problems and achievements is uplifting and reassuring.”
Dr. Vladislava Reznyk, University Advisor, Akademia High School, Warsaw
“Immerse Education offers transformative educational experiences to ambitious students worldwide, but now I know that the impact of your programmes extends far beyond academic achievements.”
Ana Caroline da Silva Pereira, Subject Teacher, Colégio Nossa Senhora Medianeira

Looking Ahead

In 2025, Immerse Education will host Educators’ Week at Balliol College, University of Oxford. This annual event will continue to serve as a cornerstone for celebrating our most committed school partners, building global educator networks, and inspiring future collaborations.
